About Mr Ricardo Javier Pacheco
Mr Ricardo Pacheco is a leading Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Scunthorpe General Hospital with a private practice at St Hugh's Hospital Grimsby. He specialises in knee surgery and sports injuries of the lower limb and typically performs procedures such as total and partial knee replacements, complex knee arthroscopic surgery, and multi-ligament reconstruction. He regularly treats professional athletes such as football players, cyclists, motorbike riders, triathletes and professional dancers, and helps them throughout their rehabilitation journey. Mr Pacheco has also worked with a number of football clubs in the championship, league one and two divisions. Mr Pacheco graduated with a medical degree in Santander, Spain, before moving to the UK to complete an extensive training scheme in his chosen specialty of orthopaedics. He then undertook a knee surgery and sports injuries fellowship in Bradford followed by a further fellowship in arthroplasty and knee surgery leading to his membership of the Royal College of Surgeons.
