About
His expertise covers a wide range of cosmetic surgery procedures, and he has earned certification in all areas of cosmetic surgery by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Oversight Committee.
In his NHS practice, Mr. Jeevan's primary focus is on breast reconstruction using microsurgical techniques such as DIEP and TUG flaps. He provides comprehensive breast reconstruction options for women with breast cancer and performs symmetrising breast surgery as needed. Additionally, Mr. Jeevan is well-equipped to address congenital, developmental, post-traumatic, and cosmetic chest and breast abnormalities or asymmetries in both male and female patients, using a variety of surgical techniques.
Based at Wythenshawe Hospital, Mr. Jeevan conducts regular breast clinics, elective breast reconstruction procedures, and emergency trauma surgeries. He also holds weekly peripheral clinics and operating lists at the Royal Bolton Hospital, where he performs various general and facial plastic surgeries, including the excision and reconstruction of benign and malignant skin lesions.
Mr. Jeevan is an essential member of several multidisciplinary teams, including the region's tertiary breast cancer multidisciplinary team at the Nightingale Centre in Wythenshawe, the oncoplastic breast surgery multidisciplinary team in Bolton, and the skin cancer multidisciplinary teams at both Wythenshawe and Bolton.
In his private practice, primarily located at Ramsay Oaklands Hospital in Salford, Mr. Jeevan sees and treats insured and self-funding patients. He conducts weekly clinics and performs regular surgical procedures to provide the highest level of care and expertise.
Mr. Jeevan obtained his degree in Medicine from the University of Cambridge in 2002. He then underwent various training posts, including surgery and medicine in Norwich and basic surgical training in Nottingham. Subsequently, he pursued plastic surgery training in Birmingham and Chelmsford. During this time, he took on a three-year Research Fellowship at the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, where he contributed to the National Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction Audit for the Healthcare Quality and Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and completed his PhD research work. Mr. Jeevan maintains his status as an Honorary Research Fellow at the CEU.
His advanced training in plastic surgery continued in Liverpool, where he undertook higher specialist training and completed two prestigious subspecialty training Fellowships in Reconstructive Microsurgery (Breast) and Burns Surgery at the renowned St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns. He furthered his expertise with a subspecialty training Fellowship in Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Surgery in the North West.
His significant research contributions were recognised with the award of a Hunterian Lectureship and the title of 'Hunterian Professor 2017' by The Royal College of Surgeons of England. His lecture, titled 'Reconstructive utilisation and outcomes following mastectomy surgery in women with breast cancer treated in England,' was presented at the Winter Scientific Meeting of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
