Mr Rafik Fanous

About
Mr Fanous graduated from St George’s, University of London in 2009 and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford. He undertook specialist orthopaedic training on the North West London rotation, gaining experience in leading institutions including Imperial College Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He completed his fellowship training in Nottingham and has also worked as a Consultant in a major trauma centre in Manchester.
His clinical expertise covers all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including arthroplasty, arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, frozen shoulder, calcific tendonitis, AC joint arthritis and instability, subacromial impingement, shoulder dislocation and instability, as well as nerve compression syndromes such as cubital and carpal tunnel.
Mr Fanous is actively involved in clinical audit, research, and teaching, and is a GMC-recognised trainer for orthopaedic trainees within the East Midlands deanery. He was recently named trainer of the year.
