About Miss Rachel Clancy
Miss Rachel Clancy is a fully accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon trained in the UK. She is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) for Plastic Surgery and holds full membership in the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). Rachel serves as an elected BAPRAS council member and sits on the board of trustees. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In her NHS practice, Rachel works as a Consultant at Southmead Hospital and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. She specialises in adult and paediatric sarcoma and microvascular reconstruction of the lower and upper extremities following trauma. Rachel leads the Sarcoma Service and is involved in the resection and reconstruction of soft tissue sarcomas, including functional reconstruction. Additionally, she co-leads the Paediatric Plastic Surgery Service and participates in lower limb and upper limb reconstruction after trauma in both children and adults. Rachel graduated from Bristol Medical School in 2008 and completed her training in Leeds under renowned plastic surgeons. She furthered her expertise with fellowships in breast and aesthetic surgery in Toronto, as well as sarcoma and breast microvascular reconstruction in the UK. Rachel has conducted prize-winning research, presented nationally and internationally, and published on various topics in peer-reviewed journals. She holds a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from Trinity College, Dublin, and a Master’s in Surgical Education from Imperial College. In addition to her NHS practice, Rachel offers a wide range of aesthetic procedures such as breast reduction, breast augmentation, liposuction, and tummy tuck. She also performs skin cancer surgery, scar revision, carpal tunnel decompression, and excision of lipomas. Rachel prioritises personalised, patient-centred care and is committed to working with her patients to achieve their goals and support them throughout their journey.
