About Prof Nicholas Wood
Professor Wood is research director of the UCL Institute of Genetic - he has been a senior lecturer, reader and professor at the Institute of Neurology. He is currently a Consultant neurologist and in 2004 was made Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. His primary research interest is the genetics of neurological disease with an emphasis on the genetics of Parkinson's disease and ataxias. He has published over 270 peer reviewed articles and is on the board of several international neuroscience journals.
