About Prof Michael Ehrenstein
Professor Michael Ehrenstein is a leading expert in Rheumatology. They have a particular interest in new therapies for inflammatory types of arthritis. Their research has focused on using biologic therapies to understand and manipulate the immune system's response in patients with autoimmune diseases. Professor Ehrenstein is also interested in developing biomarkers to predict treatment response and improve outcomes for patients with autoimmune conditions. Professor Ehrenstein studied medicine at The Middlesex Hospital and completed their rheumatology training at The Hammersmith Hospital and Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. They were awarded a PhD from UCL. Professor Ehrenstein is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
