About Dr Priyanka Pillay
Dr Priyanka Pillay is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, registered on the General Medical Council Specialist Register, with a licence to practice. She is in active practice within the National Health Service (NHS) Uk, where she works within a multi-disciplinary team of colleagues including psychiatric nurses, clinical psychologists and support staff in a busy Community Mental Health team. She has also worked as the Consultant Psychiatrist in the Acute Adult mental health wards, Crisis Resolution Home treatment Team and the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit prior to her current role in community psychiatric care. She has held clinical management roles within her current organisation and currently is clinical lead within the North and Mid Hampshire division Neuromodulation service. Her specialist qualification enables her to treat adult patients with a wide range of mental and emotional difficulties. She has a special interest in the assessment and management of mood disorders, eating disorders, complex trauma and PTSD. Her approach is holistic, open-minded and evidenced based. Priyanka is passionate about the potential for each individual to live their lives to the fullest, however they may define that. She is now available to see patients on a private fee paying basis outside of her NHS work times. Consultations are available via video conference call or in person by arrangement. In the interest of candour, transparency and ensuring patient safety, clients who are already under the care of Dr Priyanka Pillay within the NHS, will continue to be seen as usual within her NHS Practice and not within the scope of Hampshire Psychiatry. This service is available to adults resident within the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
