Dr, Priyadarshan Gaitonde is the owner and principal dentist at Porter Brook Dental. Better known as ‘Gaity’, he has led the team at Porter Brook Dental with a strong input of dedication and commitment to excellence. He has brought together a team of wonderful caring dental professionals who complement the ethos of the practice and provide outstanding care to patients.
Initially qualifying in dentistry in 1988, Gaity is incredibly experienced; as part of his ongoing dental training he pursued a 3-year specialisation in Oral Surgery, and holds a Master’s Degree, MDS in Oral Surgery, from the University of Bombay. Following this he then obtained Fellowship in Dental Surgery FDS RCS, from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Gaity spent a number of years as a NHS Hospital Dentist working mainly in the Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery Departments in Cardiff, Plymouth, Royal London & Mount Vernon Hospitals, building further on his surgical dentistry skills. This gave him a strong foundation in dentistry before moving into General Dental Practice where he has maintained his special interest in Oral Surgery.
In 2004 he undertook a certification in Implant Dentistry training at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and has since treated hundreds of patients and placed hundreds of implants. He also provides surgical implant placements for fellow dentists at external dental practices. He has maintained an ongoing interest in professional development and continues to add to his knowledge and skillset.
Gaity is also an Invisalign Go provider and takes pride in treating anxious and nervous patients.
