Dr Praveen Kumar
Psychiatry
About
Dr. Kumar has a strong clinical interest in adult ADHD, pervasive developmental disorders, and forensic psychiatry. His experience includes work across several specialist services, including the Cambridge, Peterborough, and West Norfolk Adult ADHD clinics, as well as within the prison healthcare systems at HMP Foston Hall and HMP Little Hay in Huntingdon.
In recent years, Dr. Kumar has also developed a keen interest in repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), an innovative treatment for depression that is approved by both the FDA and NICE. Alongside his clinical duties, he provides leadership and strategic oversight as a Clinical Director, helping to shape and improve psychiatric services across the trust.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
