About Mr Peter Gaunlett
Peter Gauntlett is the Director of the South London Foot Clinic and a dedicated member of the College of Podiatry. With a specialisation in musculoskeletal podiatry, he focuses on overuse injuries, including running-related injuries and preventing future issues.
Peter's expertise lies in conducting biomechanical assessments, and the use of fascial manipulation (STECCO), and prescribing orthotics tailored to individual needs. He also offers injection therapy, foot and ankle mobilisation, and utilises gait analysis techniques during assessments. He believes in a holistic approach to treatment, often incorporating exercises and stretches to complement orthotic interventions.
At the South London Foot Clinic, patients can access a range of services including shockwave therapy, steroid injections, nail surgery, ultrasound assessments, and treatment for conditions such as verrucas and rheumatological issues.
Peter's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Podiatric Medicine/Podiatry from the University of East London (UEL), where he was actively involved in organisations such as the British Association of Sport & Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. He furthered his expertise by completing a course in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography at Bournemouth University in 2018.
In 2022-3 he completed courses in fascial manipulation (STECCO) and an important part of his practice involves this world beating specialised treatment.
