Prof. Dr. med. Paul Lingor ist Facharzt für Neurologie. Seine wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkte liegen in der Erforschung von Ursachen, Mechanismen und Biomarkern der Amyotrophen Lateralsklerose (ALS) und anderen neurodegenerativen Erkrankungen, einschließlich der Parkinson-Krankheit. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit ist die Identifizierung von Medikamenten, die eine Verlangsamung des Verlaufs der ALS erreichen können. Prof. Dr. med. Lingor leitet mehrere klinische Studien, die sich mit neuen Therapieansätzen für ALS befassen. Darüber hinaus engagiert er sich in der Entwicklung von Frühdiagnoseverfahren für ALS, um die Krankheit möglichst frühzeitig zu erkennen und behandeln zu können. Patienten schätzen an Prof. Dr. med.
