Edlmayr seine medizinische Laufbahn im AKH Linz. Seine Ausbildung zum Facharzt für Orthopädie und orthopädische Chirurgie absolvierte er am Kepleruniklinikum Linz.

Am Anfang jeder erfolgreichen Therapie steht eine exakte Diagnostik. Dazu gehört eine eingehende Untersuchung, um die Ursachen der Schmerzen erfassen zu können. Ist der Grund für die Schmerzen gefunden, kann die spezifische Behandlung sofort beginnen.

Dr. med. univ. Edlmayr bietet ein umfangreiches Spektrum an konservativen und operativen Behandlungsmöglichkeiten an. Zu seinen Spezialgebieten zählen unter anderem die Schmerztherapie der Wirbelsäule, Knorpelaufbaukuren, die Therapie aller großen und kleinen Gelenke sowie die Stoßwellentherapie.
