Driven to specialise in periodontics, Dr. Burgess embarked on an intensive three-year specialist training program at the Eastman Dental Institute, where he graduated with distinction in an MSc (Periodontics) in 2008. He further obtained an M.Clin.Dent. (Periodontics) from the University of London in 2009. His dedication to advancing his clinical expertise was recognised with the MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2001 and the MRD (Periodontics) in 2003. These achievements led to his appointment on the Specialist Register in Periodontics by the General Dental Council.
In 2004, Dr. Burgess relocated to Ireland, where he worked alongside leading periodontal experts, including Professor Linden at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast and Professor Claffey at the Dublin Dental Hospital. He has continued to refine his skills through advanced training with Dr. Danie Buser at the University of Berne.
