Ms Pamela Patchell is a fully accredited therapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) since 2016. She has been practicing therapy since 2013, bringing a wide range of professional knowledge to her work, grounded in humanistic, cognitive-behavioural, trauma-informed, integrative, and pluralistic practices. Pamela creates a welcoming and compassionate space for her clients, supporting them through personal healing, growth, and self-discovery.
Pamela provides therapy for individuals facing various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and life transitions. She also works with individuals seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. Pamela believes that while talking with family or friends can help, sometimes professional therapy provides the confidential and compassionate space needed to truly explore one’s experiences, thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
In therapy, Pamela works collaboratively with clients to identify their therapeutic goals and personal needs. She uses her extensive training and knowledge to help clients uncover patterns, build confidence, and develop the tools necessary for lasting change. Clients will feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their journey. Pamela holds a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, which she completed in 2013, and a QQI Level 8 BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from 2014. She also holds a QQI Level 9 MA in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, completed in 2020, along with a Professional Certificate in CBT, a QQI Level 7 Certificate in Suicide Postvention, and ASIST training. She is also completing a QQI Level 8 Certificate in Trauma Informed Therapy.
While Pamela has training in working with children and adolescents, she currently only accepts adult clients for individual personal therapy.
