Dr Olivia Hum
General Practice (GP)
About
Olivia gained her primary medical qualification at Cambridge and UCL and trained in London and Brighton. She completed her Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health and has gained the FSRH Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care. She works under an honorary contract at the menopause clinic at Guy's Hospital, London. She is involved in the RCGP Adolescent Health Group which aims to improve the treatment of young people within the NHS.
Upon completion of training, she went on to specialise in Women's Health and set up the award-winning young person's sexual health service 'The Circle Room' at her practice in Lewes, East Sussex. In addition to her achievements, she also trains and supports junior and trainee GPs.
She believes strongly in holistic health care, looking at diet and lifestyle, as well as medication, to help women through perimenopause and menopause. She is passionate about improving health care for women through the perimenopause and menopause, and teaches GPs on the subject both locally and nationally.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
