Dr Nina Wilson
General Practice (GP)
About
Dr Wilson graduated in Medicine from University of Cambridge in 2008 and previously completed a degree in Physiology and Pharmacology at University of Oxford. She undertook her clinical training in the Cambridge region before returning to Sussex to pursue a career in General Practice. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong commitment to advancing equality in women’s healthcare, leading her to undertake advanced specialist training with the British Menopause Society.
Driven by a passion for improving women’s health services, Dr Wilson founded One Women Health, a specialist service dedicated to addressing gaps in women’s healthcare and providing expert menopause support. Her clinical work focuses on all aspects of menopause management, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT), non-hormonal treatment options, and broader mid-life health optimisation. She offers extended new patient consultations of up to 45 minutes, allowing time for an in-depth exploration of symptoms, lifestyle factors, treatment choices, and long-term wellbeing goals.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr Wilson has held several senior national healthcare leadership positions. She has served as an advisor to the CEO of the NHS, worked as a healthcare commissioner for Sussex, and was previously Medical Director of LIVI, one of Europe’s largest online healthcare providers. She continues to work with organisations on the design and delivery of healthcare services, combining frontline clinical experience with strategic healthcare leadership.
Dr Wilson believes there is a significant opportunity to improve women’s health and wellbeing during mid-life, an area she feels has historically been overlooked. Her approach combines evidence-based medicine with compassionate, personalised care, supporting women to make informed decisions about their health while helping them optimise quality of life during the menopause transition and beyond.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
