About Dr Nina Farquharson
Dr Nina Farquharson is a Consultant Dermatologist with over a decade of experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of skin conditions. She graduated in medicine from the University of Sheffield and completed initial training in general medicine before undertaking specialist dermatology training in Manchester. She is currently a Consultant Dermatologist at Salford Royal Hospital and The Christie Hospital, where she provides expertise in both general and specialist dermatology care. At Salford Royal, she is the lead for Manchester University dermatology training, with responsibility for teaching and supervising medical students and doctors in training. Dr Farquharson is actively involved in research and clinical trials, particularly in the development of new dermatological treatments. She has presented her work at national dermatology conferences and is a contributing author to a major dermatology textbook. Her international experience includes clinical observerships at two leading dermatology centres in New York, USA, which provided additional insight into global approaches to the management of skin disease. Through her clinical, academic and teaching roles, Dr Farquharson has developed a broad expertise in dermatology, with a focus on evidence-based care, clinical education and advancing treatment options for patients.
