About

Dr. Nik Chopra is an experienced GP and founder at The Doctors Lounge. He graduated from University College London Medical School and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons London in 2012. He gained medical and surgical experience in Oxford and Sydney, Australia, before training as a Urologist at prestigious institutions including The Royal Marsden Hospital, University College London Hospital, and St George’s University Hospital. While training in all aspects of Urology, he developed a particular interest in prostate disease and men’s health.

Dr. Chopra transitioned into general practice, maintaining a special interest in men’s health and urology. He regularly speaks at national conferences such as PULSE and MIMS, educating primary care clinicians, and has been instrumental in developing educational programs for physicians. He has contributed to expert panels and published guidance on managing nocturia in Trends In Urology Journal, while also being involved in medical advisory boards for new prostate cancer diagnostics and treatments.

Passionate about sharing his expertise, Dr. Chopra has produced educational videos and learning aids. He is currently the Education Secretary for the Primary Care Urological Society, providing a platform for healthcare professionals to deepen their understanding of urology. His special interests include general practice, urological issues (male and female), men’s health, paediatrics, and joint injections.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Dr Nik Chopra
