About Mr Nick Aresti
Mr Nick Aresti is an experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery and complex trauma at Barts Health NHS Trust. He is the Orthopaedic Network Clinical Director at Barts Health and also the Clinical Lead of Orthopaedics at The London Clinic. He takes a holistic approach to the treatment of orthopaedic disorders and uses innovative technologies, working closely with leading physiotherapists and anaesthetists, and only performs surgery where necessary. Mr Aresti trained at University College London, where he won a number of prizes. He went on to undertake a fellowship at Addenbrooke's Hospital, followed by a travelling fellowship to North America, where he spent time with some of the most influential and pioneering upper limb surgeons in the world. Mr Aresti was previously a Clinical Fellow to the National Medical Director, where he was assigned to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and contributed to healthcare policy and regulation. He currently serves on a number of national and regional committees, including the British Orthopaedic Association for which he is the Vice Chair of the Orthopaedic committee. Mr Aresti has authored three surgical textbooks, several book chapters, and research articles in international peer-reviewed publications. He is still pursuing an academic career and is participating in a number of national and regional research initiatives.
