About
He completed his cardiothoracic specialist training at Papworth Hospital and then spent a year working as a locum consultant at St George's Hospital. He is accredited by the British Society of Echocardiography and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging for transoesophageal echocardiography.
Dr Lees' clinical interests lie in the areas of ECMO, blood conservation, and echocardiography. He is a holder of the European Diploma in Intensive Care, and is also a Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care (UK).
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr Lees has been active in research and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed research papers, reviews and book chapters.
