Muge Ahmet

Muge Ahmet is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist at Nightingale Hospital in London. She supports individuals with a wide range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, panic attacks, stress, sleep difficulties, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anger issues, and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED). She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire, awarded with Distinction, and a BSc in Cognitive Science from the University of Westminster, a British Psychological Society accredited course. She has also completed a three-part EMDR training between 2017 and 2018. She is a member of the BABCP. Alongside her work at Nightingale Hospital, Muge is the founder of Goodmentalhealthltd, offering therapy services since 2021. She is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and has worked as a CBT supervisor and lecturer at Goldsmiths, University of London. From 2021 to 2023, she was Step Three Team and Long-Term Conditions (LTC) Lead at Total Wellbeing Luton. She has also worked as a CBT therapist for Ieso Digital Health and Nuffield Health, and as a Clinical Supervisor at Dr Julian Medical Group. Her earlier roles include working in the NHS as a CBT therapist, and for Age UK Kensington & Chelsea as a Dementia Support Worker and Community Outreach Worker. She also facilitated a CBT-based self-help therapy group for Triumph Over Phobia at the University of Westminster for over four years. Muge uses CBT, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in her clinical work and draws on compassion-focused therapy principles. She works collaboratively with clients to create tailored treatment plans based on individual needs, offering both in-person and online therapy. She has experience supporting individuals in high-pressure corporate environments and those living with long-term health conditions.
