Mr Talaat Al-Atassi is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder, upper limb, and trauma surgery. Mr Al-Atassi qualified from the University of Damascus in 1991 and went on to complete higher surgical training and fellowships in Trauma and Shoulder Surgery at leading institutions in Nottingham, London, and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals. He is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Salford Royal Foundation NHS Trust and also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, contributing to research and education in orthopaedic surgery.
His approach prioritises minimally invasive techniques, and he often performs arthroscopic procedures under regional anaesthesia, allowing patients to observe their treatment on-screen while avoiding the effects of general anaesthesia.
