Lead for surgery department 2016 to February 2024. Trust cancer lead from July 2021 to February 2024. Clinical lead for New Hospital Program (NHP) medical advisory Group from Janury to March 2023. Divisional medical director for division of surgery from March 2024 to April 2025.
Worked at various UK hospitals from 1994 to 2005. Last appointment before joining JPUH was as Associate Specialist at West Suffolk Hospital Bury St. Edmunds.
Qualified from Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla India in 1985 (http://www.igmcshimla.org) and then underwent higher surgical training from 1987 to 1993 at Indis's premier institute, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh (http://pgimer.nic.in).
In 1994 completed FRCS in General Surgery. Over 35 years of extensive surgical experience.
Examiner for Intercollegiate Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) from 2010-2021. Since 2021 Intercollegiate MRCS Assessor. PLAB examiner for the General MedicalCouncil. Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of East Anglia, Norwich. Actively involved in teaching and training of junior and higher surgical trainees and medical students.

Lower Gastrointestinal Endoscopy; Colonoscopy and Flexible sigmoidoscopy
General Paediatric surgery now only in NHS.
Robotic surgery since 2025- only in NHS.
