About

Mr Robert Turner is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon. He specialises in trauma, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions.

Mr Turner was appointed a Consultant in 2008, and he performs the latest treatments, including minimal access surgery. He is keen to understand each patient's needs and provide outstanding personalised care. He can successfully treat a large number of his patients without surgery.

His specialist registrar training in orthopaedics was in the Bath and Wessex Region. He then completed a specialist fellowship in upper limb surgery at the largest upper limb centre in Canada and took additional training at the Mayo Clinic in America.

Mr Turner is interested in teaching (including medical students, nursing staff, junior doctors and consultants.) He also teaches junior doctors, orthopaedic trainee doctors and GPs on specialist courses.

Mr Turner is a Clinical Tutor for Keele Medical School and is the Orthopaedic Lead Clinical Tutor at the Shrewsbury & Telford Campus. He has publications in international medical books and research journals. He has presented his research nationally and internationally.
