About
Mr Brough graduated with an MB ChB from the University of Manchester in 1987. He went on to complete further specialist training in urology in the North West of England and Australia, gaining extensive experience in complex urological surgery. He also holds an MD and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology (FRCS Urol).
Over the course of his career, Mr Brough has developed significant expertise in laparoscopic surgery for conditions affecting the prostate and kidneys. Working with a colleague, he helped introduce laparoscopic cystectomy (bladder removal) in Manchester, performing one of the first series of these procedures in the region.
Mr Brough currently serves as the Urological Cancer Lead at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport. Alongside his clinical work, he is involved in medical education as a trainer and examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons.
His clinical practice includes procedures such as cystoscopy, urethrotomy, circumcision, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
