Mr Paul Pavlou is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and management of knee conditions. He treats the full spectrum of knee pathology, including degenerative disease and sports-related injuries, using both conservative and surgical approaches. He was the first surgeon on the south coast to introduce robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery.
Mr Pavlou holds an NHS consultant post at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, where he also serves as Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics, with responsibility for service quality assurance and improvement. He qualified in medicine from Imperial College London in 2001 and completed specialist orthopaedic training in the Wessex region.
In 2010, he undertook a 12-month specialist fellowship in knee surgery at North Shore Hospital, gaining advanced experience in contemporary knee reconstruction techniques. His clinical interests include sports knee injuries, partial knee replacement and complex revision surgery.
