In 2011, he was awarded a PhD from the University of Leicester.

In 2012, Mr. Mehasseb was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon and Oncologist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. In 2020, he moved to Liverpool Women's Hospital, where he continues his NHS practice.

Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Mr. Mehasseb holds two clinical excellence awards, celebrating his outstanding patient care, clinical skills, and dedication to teaching and service development.

He is a prolific author with numerous publications, including peer-reviewed research articles, book chapters, and reviews. He has received multiple research grants focusing on gynaecology and women's health.
