About Mr Mo Shorafa
Mr Mo Shorafa is a highly experienced Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who practices privately as well as within the NHS. Mr Shorafa is currently regional clinical lead for London Northwest NHS Hospital based at Northwick Park Hospital and also lead clinician at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals. Mr Shorafa graduated in Dentistry in 1992 and went on to achieve a Masters Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Following this, he undertook Medicine at King's College London, qualifying in 2006. He is one of a limited number of clinicians qualified in both Dentistry and Medicine. Mr Shorafa went on to complete his speciality training at a number of prestigious London Hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital and Northwest London Hospitals and was awarded an FRCS (OMFS) in 2012. Outside his clinical practice, Mr Shorafa is actively involved with Dental and Medical training, acting as a clinical superior for speciality registrars and educational supervisor for dental foundation trainees. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) Examinations, a panel member for SITE assessment for core surgical trainees and an examiner for the Intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship Examination (ISFE) in oral surgery. Mr Shorafa is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) provider and instructor.
