About Dr Michael Rossiter
Dr Mike Rossiter is a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM), Clinical Director of The Candover Clinic in Basingstoke and Chair of the SEM Committee for the Royal College of Physicians. He has recently retired as NHS clinical lead for SEM and MSK.He has worked with a variety of professional sports for over 20 years, including CMO for GB Hockey, CMO for GB Synchronised swimming, and as a Club Doctor in both Football and Rugby. He has been attended four Olympic Games (one as Deputy CMO for Team GB), 6 Commonwealth Games (3 as CMO for Team England), as well as European and World Cups. He is currently clinical lead for Premiership Rugby and the Premiership Match Day Doctors, one of the matchday doctors at Twickenham, covering immediate care for Club and International players ,or as one of the independent match day doctors for concussion (including the Rugby World Cup final in 2015), tutor on the RFU’s Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport Course since 2005 and independent match reviewer for concussive events in Rugby from Premiership to International matches. He is also a member of the UK anti-doping medical committee. He is actively involved in research across several sporting areas
