Orthopaedic Surgery
About
Mr Chawda’s practice focuses primarily on hip and knee replacement surgery, alongside the management of sports-related hip and knee injuries affecting patients across a wide range of age groups. He has extensive experience in primary joint replacement procedures and complex lower limb orthopaedic care, supported by advanced international fellowship training and ongoing professional development.
He completed six years of Specialist Registrar training within the Leeds-based Yorkshire Deanery rotation between 2000 and 2006, followed by a 12-month fellowship in Brisbane, Australia, specialising in advanced hip and knee surgery. He also undertook an additional six-month fellowship in Hanover, Germany, gaining further experience in European orthopaedic surgical techniques and joint reconstruction.
Prior to his higher specialist training, Mr Chawda completed orthopaedic residency training for his MS Orth degree and undertook research fellowship work in computer-assisted orthopaedic surgery between 1998 and 2000.
Alongside his clinical practice, he is actively involved in the teaching and training of orthopaedic registrars from the Wales Deanery and the Oswestry–Stoke West Midlands rotation, particularly in hip and knee surgery.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
