Mr. Chandra Rao is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Foot and Ankle Surgery. Mr. Rao trained at the renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, UK, and has been a Consultant at Hereford County Hospital since 2010.
His surgical expertise covers a wide range of procedures, including total hip and knee replacements, total ankle replacements, ACL reconstructions, knee and ankle arthroscopy, and surgeries for arthritis affecting the ankle, foot, and great toe. He also has a strong focus on treating sports-related knee and ankle injuries, helping patients return to their active lifestyles.
Mr. Rao’s special interests lie in hip, knee, and ankle replacement surgery, minimally invasive arthroscopy procedures, and the treatment of arthritic conditions across the lower limb.
Outside of his clinical work Mr. Rao is passionate about playing and following cricket and tennis. He also has a deep interest in psychology and eastern philosophy, which influences his holistic approach to patient care.
