Mr Kasra Taherian is an experienced consultant Ophthalmologist working at Fulwood Hall Hospital, Preston (Private) and at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals (NHS). In addition, he is presently an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester Medical School. Mr Taherian has held previous appointments as the National Lead Clinician for Ophthalmology at Health Education England, Editor of the Ophthalmopaedia at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists,
Consultant Ophthalmologist at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Ophthalmology at the University of Aberdeen. He completed specialist training in Ophthalmology at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, at Bristol Eye Hospital and at St James University Hospital in Leeds.
He has received a number of awards for his work including a record twice winning of the PJ Hay Prize for best paper from North of England Ophthalmological Society. He is the author of many peer-reviewed papers in the scientific literature covering different subjects in Opthalmology.
