About
Jonathon initially qualified as a doctor in 1997, at the University of Sheffield. He followed this initial qualification with specialist ophthalmology training at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham. After completing his specialist training, he was given the opportunity to gain additional knowledge and training with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists at the Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2007, where he specialised in oculoplastic surgery. He is extensively trained in specialist oculoplastic techniques, such as minimally invasive watery eye. In addition to all his training, Jonathon currently chairs the 'Royal College of Ophthalmologists Cataract Workforce Guidance Committee' which is responsible for providing a nationwide gold standard framework for cataract treatment.
