About Mr Ijaz Ahmad
Mr Ijaz Ahmad is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon, providing specialist care in both adults and children since 2005. With a broad expertise in managing general ear, nose and throat conditions, he has developed particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of neck lumps, including conditions affecting the thyroid, parathyroid, salivary glands, and lymph nodes. He offers expert surgical management of both benign and malignant thyroid disorders, working closely with endocrine physicians as part of a multidisciplinary approach. Mr Ahmad also specialises in the management of head and neck cancers, collaborating with a dedicated team of specialists to ensure comprehensive care. His clinical interests extend to swallowing and voice disorders, where he has pioneered refined techniques to support patients experiencing complex problems, such as the persistent sensation of a lump in the throat (globus). In the NHS, Mr Ahmad practices across Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull, and Queen Elizabeth hospitals, and he currently consults privately at Spire Little Aston Hospital and The Vesey Private Hospital. Recognised for his patient-centred approach, Mr Ahmad combines advanced diagnostic methods with compassionate care, ensuring each patient receives clear guidance, tailored treatment, and the highest standards of clinical expertise.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
