His achievements include being elected as Faculty at the Institute of Cancer Research- London in 2016 while on the other hand, he visited Nimmo Professor at the Royal Adelaide Hospital- Australia. 2017 saw him move his clinical practice to Lincolnshire, where he also continued with research. Among the awards he received in 2017 include, Macmillan award for leadership and innovation in cancer rehabilitation, giving presidents lecture at Royal College of Physicians Regional update 2014, as well as the MAGIC award for innovation and excellence in UK gastroenterology in addition to London Evening Standard NHS Champions: award of merit. As such, he highly sorts after teacher as well as a lecturer. He indicates that a lot has been learned towards the treatment of cancer therapies that can be applied to benign disorders like functional dyspepsia- irritable bowel syndrome- inflammatory bowel disease as well as post-surgical bowel upset.
