About Mr Hamid Daya
Mr Hamid Daya is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with a specialist interest in Paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery. He currently practises at St George’s Hospital, London, where he serves as the Lead for Paediatric ENT. He was recently recognised as one of the Top Private Specialists by Tatler, reflecting his national reputation in paediatric care. Mr Daya has been in consultant practice since 2000 and is the Medical Director of “ent4kids”, a family-focused model of private paediatric ENT care that he developed to provide holistic, child-centred treatment within a supportive framework for families. He qualified in medicine from the Universities of St Andrews and Manchester in 1988 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993. He completed his postgraduate training in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery in London in 1998. During this time, his interest in paediatric ENT deepened, leading him to undertake a prestigious two-year Fellowship in Paediatric ENT at the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Mr Daya has particular expertise in middle ear disease and neck pathology. Within the NHS at St George’s Hospital, he is an active contributor to several multidisciplinary teams, including Paediatric Airway, Lymphatic and Vascular Malformations, and the Paediatric Soft Tissue Tumour Group at The Royal Marsden. He also works closely with the internationally recognised Foetal Medicine Team at St George’s, providing specialist ENT input for babies diagnosed antenatally with head and neck malformations, including complex cases that may require delivery via the EXIT procedure. In addition to his paediatric practice, Mr Daya also treats adult patients with general ENT conditions, such as ear infections, tonsillitis, sinusitis, sore throats, and hearing loss.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
