About Mr Giles Nicholas Anselm Heilpern
Mr Heilpern is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the treatment of knee and shoulder injuries, particularly ligament reconstruction, meniscal surgery, realignment osteotomy and robotic partial and total knee replacement. He studied medicine at Pembroke College, Cambridge and Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals before completing a three year basic surgical rotation at Guy's, Kingston and Atkinson Morley's Hospitals.He performs all aspects of shoulder surgery except shoulder replacement. His successful career includes a post as Director of Surgery at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre – the largest joint replacement unit in Europe, and various position teaching surgical techniques to other surgeons. Mr Heilpern has a passion for skiing and snowboarding which informs his work in sports injuries and providing care and lifestyle support to athletes who are struggling with recurrent injuries. Mr Heilpern delivers a world-class service alongside a trusted network of physiotherapists and sports physicians to create bespoke treatment plans and sustainable, long-term recoveries.
