About Mr Francis Webb
Mr Francis Webb is a podiatrist based at The Wilmslow Hospital and Buxton Hospital. He is committed to ensuring that each patient receives the best quality care. He treats a range of conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ingrown toenail, plantar fasciitis, bursa excision, rheumatoid foot, and diabetic foot complications. He has extensive experience in orthotics and the surgical treatment of sports patients with foot and ankle injuries. Mr Webb qualified as a Podiatrist in 1987 before joining the Diabetic Foot Team at Hope Hospital, Salford. He further developed his skills in rheumatology, peripheral vascular disease and foot problems related to renal Impairment, and developed an interest in Orthotics and Biomechanical function of the lower limb. He later undertook surgical training and was awarded a Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery in 1995. Working at Salford Royal Hospital, he gained experience in the surgical management of the foot and ankle. In 2003, he became a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Salford Royal Hospital with a specialist interest in high-risk foot conditions. In 2009 he took up a position as Lead Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Greenwich NHS Trust. He later became the Lead Consultant Podiatrist at Buxton in 2011 and was as awarded a Fellowship in Podiatric Medicine in 2014 from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. His expertise enabled him to establish High Risk Diabetic Foot Surgery and create strong links with Stepping Hill Hospital MDFC. Due to the success of the Diabetic Clinic and high-risk surgery, new links have also been developed with Chesterfield Royal.
