Mr Remoundos is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals, taking up his appointment in 2016. He obtained his medical degree from Trinity College, Cambridge. After working in London and Suffolk, Mr Remoundos settled in Oxford where he completed his Higher Surgical Training as a General Surgeon with a specialty interest in Breast Surgery.




Mr Remoundos is a trained Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon. He completed a prestigious TIG Fellowship at St. James's Hospital, Leeds, prior to a further fellowship in Oxford, refining his techniques of breast conservation and reconstruction after breast cancer surgery; so that patients can have appropriate cancer treatment while maintaining excellent cosmetic outcomes.




Mr Remoundos has previously served as Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Lead, as well as Clinical Lead in his NHS Department, and works tirelessly to provide evidence based care to his patients. He was joint winner of the Oxford University Hospitals 'Patient's Choice Award' in Juy 2023.




Mr Remoundos is passionate about research and audit, and is an investigator for a number of regional and national surgical trials, while also promoting national collaborative audits. He has been Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (London) since 2014, and in 2022 he became a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (Breast) after passing the European Board of Surgery Exams with a distinction. 




He has published work in the use of One-Step Nucleic Acid Amplification (OSNA) for the analysis of sentinel nodes in breast cancer, papillary breast cancers, and phyllodes tumours of the breast, and he is a citable author in numerous national collaborative audits including the iBRA, (Implant Breast Reconstruction), iBRA-2, Margins audit, TeaM (Therapeutic mammoplasty), and B-MAP-C.
