About Mr David Oliver
Mr David Oliver specialises in all areas of cosmetic surgery. His is an expert in aesthetic surgery and in particular cosmetic breast surgery which involves breast augmentation, mastopexy (breast uplift) and breast reduction surgery. Mr Oliver was appointed as an NHS Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in 2005, giving him over 15 years as a consultant. His special interests are microsurgical breast reconstruction and skin cancer surgery. Mr. Oliver completed training in plastic surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, after which he completed higher specialist training at the Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford. He passed the FRCS in plastic surgery in 2003 and was awarded the McGregor medal for distinction in the examination. Mr Oliver trained in cosmetic surgery in Perth, Western Australia and then as the Aesthetic Surgical Fellow at the McIndoe Surgical Centre, East Grinstead. In addition to his extensive surgical practice, Mr. Oliver is also a passionate educator and is committed to teaching future surgeons. He is chairman of the South-West Peninsula Specialist Training Committee for plastic surgery. Mr Oliver is also an examiner in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the Joint Royal Colleges of surgeons , FRCS (Plast) the final examination for entry into the GMC's specialist registry for Plastic Surgeons He has published extensively in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery with over 30 published peer-reviewed publications and numerous presentations.
