About Mr Christopher Paul Young
Mr. Christopher Young is a highly esteemed consultant cardiovascular surgeon with a remarkable record of performing over 10,000 heart operations. Recently, Mr. Young transitioned from his long-standing consultancy at St Thomas’ Hospital, where he was one of only two surgeons qualified to perform TAVI procedures, to dedicate more time to his private practice. In addition to his surgical skills, Mr. Young is renowned as an exceptional trainer, having educated over 400 clinicians in the past decade. He lectures internationally, conducts live surgical training sessions, and mentors younger surgeons, enhancing their proficiency and confidence in keyhole procedures. Mr. Young remains passionately committed to keyhole cardiac surgery, emphasizing its considerable benefits, including reduced surgical impact and faster patient recovery.
