The Manor private hospital has a high-dependency unit (HDU) and intensive therapy unit (ITU) beds as required. Hence a much extended repertoire of surgical procedures can be carried out. The most complex vascular interventions may be carried out at the John Radcliffe.

As well as the more normal repertoire of vascular surgery Mr Darby specialises in collaborative work with the surgeons for Sarcoma, melanoma and benign and malignant spine problems.

Outside the hospital, Mr Darby is an expedition leader and medical advisor to a UK trekking and climbing company, Mountain Kingdoms.
