Mr Ash Prabhudesai is an experienced Consultant Colorectal, Laparoscopic and General Surgeon. He is Clinical Lead for the Department of General Surgery at his NHS base, Hillingdon & Mount Vernon Hospitals. He has a wide general as well as colorectal surgical practice. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College School of Medicine in London.
He is interested in state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgery for bowel disorders, including cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He is a core member of the colorectal cancer multidisciplinary team at the Hillingdon Hospital. His special interests include modern minimally invasive treatment for haemorrhoids and fissures.
Mr Prabhudesai has specialised in laparoscopic treatment for abdominal wall hernias, and gall stone disease.
He is passionate about teaching, both in and out of theatres. Additionally, Mr Prabhudesai examines for the final MBBS examinations in general surgery. He has made several national and international meeting presentations.
