Mr. Andrzej Wojcik is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working at Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough and in Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. He specialises in spinal degenerative conditions of the spine, spinal trauma, and deformity, minimally invasive surgical treatment of spine when appropriate.
Mr. Wojcik qualified from Medical University in Warsaw in 1974, before completing his full orthopedic surgical training and training in rehabilitation in locomotor disorders. He completed his Ph.D. med in 1984. He then moved to the UK, where he undertook a fellowship in the Spinal Unit at the University of Nottingham. Following this, he was appointed Senior Registrar at Middlesex University College Hospital between 1991 and 1993. He is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In 1993, he appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hinchingbrooke Hospital with a special interest in Spinal Surgery. Later on in 1997, he worked at Addenbrooke's Hospital and then at Nottingham University Hospital within the Spinal Unit as an Honorary Consultant Spinal Surgeon.
At present working on independent basis in Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough.
He can treat conditions such as sciatica and degenerative condi of the spine using modern minimally invasive techniques. He is also a member of several organisations and has published numerous articles on spinal disorders on national and international meetings, attended international conferences and courses as a guest lecturer.
