About Mr Andrew Taylor
Having been educated at Merchant Taylors' school in Crosby,Liverpool I gained entry into St.Mary's Hospital Medical School in London in 1985. I completed an inter-collated BSc in 1988 and qualified as a doctor in 1991.I completed my basic surgical and registrar training on the North West Thames rotations and after completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship in Perth,Western Australia was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust in May 2002. I have been faculty on National and European courses dealing with arthroscopic knee surgery,anterior cruciate ligament and complex multi-ligament surgery. I was a founder member of The Bone and Joint Centre and went part-time in my NHS practice in2012. I have an interest in all sports especially rugby and played for England U18 whilst at school.I provide knee services to a number of football and rugby teams and am knee surgeon to Liverpool Football club. Outside of work,I enjoy watching sports,cooking,red wine,real ale and gin Diseases, Medical Tests and TreatmentsArthroscopy knee Total knee replacement Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction Patella stabilisation All aspects of knee injuries/surgery(except revision total knee replacement)
