About Mr Amit Kumar
Mr Kumar is a Consultant at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a member of the Greater Manchester and Oswestry Sarcoma Service (GMOSS). He performs hip and knee replacements for osteoarthritis, along with knee arthroscopy for meniscal and cartilage conditions. His special interest is in musculoskeletal oncology in particular soft tissue sarcomas and metastatic bone disease from other cancers. Mr Kumar completed his medical degree at the Royal Free and University College London medical school in 2003. His specialist post-graduate training in Trauma & Orthopaedics was in the East Midlands (South) T&O rotation. Mr Kumar subsequently completed fellowships in lower limb arthroplasty and sarcoma in Leicester, Nottingham and the world-renowned Wrightington hospital. Other medical interests include teaching and training along with research in arthroplasty and sarcoma.
