About
Mr Alwitry qualified from the University of Nottingham in 1996 and has also completed a postgraduate qualification in Cataract and Refractive Surgery, as well as a fellowship with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He has written three textbooks and more than 35 articles. Mr Alwitry has also undertaken a master's degree in Medical Law and spends time to complete medicolegal work. He is writing a book or clinical errors and litigation to be published by Taylor and Francis. He is also a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of Ramsay Hospital NottIngram.
He has completed over 1800 cataract procedures each year and enjoys providing talks to GPs and Optometrists. He is also a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Quality and Safety Group.
