Mr Elmorsy's clinical practice includes all facets of shoulder surgery, including hemiarthroplasty, anatomical total shoulder replacement, reverse polarity total shoulder replacement, and shoulder replacement for trauma. He also offers shoulder arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and soft tissue reconstruction, as well as sports injuries and complex shoulder and upper limb trauma.
Additionally, he deals with complex shoulder, elbow, and wrist trauma such as proximal humerus fractures, elbow and wrist fractures, and distal biceps tendon reattachment.
Mr Elmorsy graduated in 1998 and went on to receive an MSc (2003) and an MD (2011) in orthopaedic surgery. He then undertook higher surgical training to become an orthopaedic surgeon. He had an early interest in upper limb surgery and undertook a 6-month fellowship in upper limb trauma, followed by an 18-month fellowship in shoulder surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. He received the European Fellowship of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT) in 2010 and the FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2015.
Mr Elmorsy is a member of the British Elbow & Shoulder Society (BESS) and the British Orthopaedic Association, as well as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (BOA).
