About Dr Mihaela Costache
Dr Mihaela Costache is a consultant dermatologist with Snapmed, who specialises in inflammatory skin disorders including eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea, as well as in skin cancer. She has worked at the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust for ten years, where she holds a leadership role within the skin cancer team and also works as a clinical supervisor for trainee GPs. Dr Costache trained at the Carol Davila University of Medicine in Romania and achieved her MD in 2000 before going on to take further post-graduate training for seven years in countries such as the UK, Germany, and Asia. During this time, she was able to gain valuable expertise and experience in both dermatology and dermatopathology. Following this, Dr Costache continued her professional development and went on to gain a diploma in skin manifestations of systemic conditions from the University of Montpellier. Dr Costache is passionate about research and is an established researcher who has a number of publications as well as a Michael Hornstein Memorial Award from the European Association of Dermatology and Venereology.
