Dr Megha Kaushik is an Australian-trained specialist in oculoplastic surgery, cataract surgery and general ophthalmology. Dr Kaushik is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. They were brought up in Newcastle, Australia and completed their medical training at the University of New South Wales, graduating with honours. Dr Kaushik completed their specialist ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital. They undertook subspecialty training for three years in the United Kingdom. Dr Kaushik is dual trained in Oculoplastic Surgery from Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and Neuro-ophthalmology from University Hospitals Birmingham.
Dr Kaushik's areas of expertise include eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty, lacrimal surgery, orbital surgery, thyroid eye disease, optic neuropathy and cataract surgery. Dr Kaushik also has a background in ophthalmic research with a Masters in Philosophy (Medicine) and a Masters in Public Health. Their publications in international and peer-reviewed journals are listed on Research Gate.
